Okay almost two years ago, one of my best friend's was dating my brother but she had this other boyfriend who she had been with long before him. The other guy found out about them and told her if she didn't stop seeing him, he will kill him and her both so a week later she broke up with him and started dating my brother exclusively then the guy shot and killed him outside of our old house (we moved right after it happened) Me and our whole family were really mad at her since we (especially my parents) thought it was all her fault for cheating on the guy with my brother in the first place and I haven't really talked to her since and hardly even seen her. What helps nails get stronger?

Working/nursing mothers?

I have returned back to work after my daughter was born, they are really good about letting me pump every three hours. In the mornings I usually can get 3 ounces out of one and 2 out of the other, the second time I pump its usually 1 1/2 out of each which i usually combine it the bag, and the same for the 3rd time at work. I exclusively breastfeed her when Im home with her, she is always wanting to nurse, like she's not getting enough in the evenings but her weight gain is good. She is 5 months now and I'm still getting the same amount out, I know she is going to start eating more soon, I was just wondering how much other mothers get out during one of their pumping sessions. And maybe something that has worked for them in increasing their milk supply.

I'm going to glasto too!!! I think that the FILA one looks fine and i like the colours they would be great for glasto life; i would be jealous because i only have a boring navy coloured nike waterproof. Also the pac-a-mac concept is great for glastonbury because you basically want as little weight as possible to carry. Although saying that my waterproof is of high quality and fila isn't renowned for this YET but that product does look the bees knees with its ventilation and so on :). All in all i think its a good choice aesthetically but for the price you will probably be able to get better quality products such as karrimor.

What to respond to my coach's email?

My cross country coach sent me a really long email about how he was disappointed in my focus on the sport... and as I read the whole email I started bawling crying because he also basically insulted me to my face like 5 times saying I was lazy and that my attitude is unacceptable . He said that he was disappointed in me like 5 times for not having looked at the chart he emailed us that said what zone our heart rates were supposed to be in, and also he said that I "need a major wake up call" and the whole email I guess was somewhat necessary because I have been slacking off a little (not in my workouts though, in other things like wearing my heart rate monitor and such) but it was really really mean and it made me cry for at least an hour. I read it about an hour ago and I am still crying. I don't even know what to reply to him. Do I try to explain myself, or just say I will work harder from now on? Enfamil is wat I use for my 10 month old...the nutrients is what is different enfamil has newborn 0-3 mos and then premium infamt 0-12 mos then toddler but when a baby turns 1 their body is then ready to handle milk whole milk that is. Younger than that can cause digestive issues.

My son is 18 months and is underweight. His weight gain slowed down around 9 months and I have been EBF since birth and still am BF. Not exclusively of course. But he only passes bowels every other day, sometimes everyday though, but onle once. He also seems to struggle everytime he goes like it's hurting him =( but sometimed, his bowels aren't even hard. How do i stop feeling out of control?

I'm sure I'm gonna get a lot of hate and attacks for this response. But I've felt that same way, and still do occasionally. For me, going out with friends/smoking weed/drinking/partying is a great release. It isolates my mind from the rest of life. I can simply let loose and enjoy myself. After relieving tension this way, I have more motivation to use for everything else. This may seem very illogical, but it works for me. Hope you figure out what works for you.

use with action video? get real. first it has to be held at waist level, so unless you are a NCAA starting center you will have the point of view of a 6 year old kid. and *almost* impossible to use the LCD screen on the camera as a viewfinder as dSLR screens don't tilt up. finally no pro uses dSLR for action sports mostly because the codecs don't handle motion worth a darn. get a sony DCR VX 2000 or similar for your skating episodes.

Exclusive Breastfeeding Question?

Breast milk it easily digested they need more of it than formula. Formula is filling and last longer in there tummy keeping them full longer. So she might have wanted a little more. My 8 month old will bf 4 20 mins and then want 2 eat again 30 mins later 4 about 10-15 mins then b good 4 a few hrs. Its just about what they want this time around. Bf is a lot more time consuming than bottle feeding. If u want 2 do more breast then stop giving her bottles and just put her back on the breast. Only do bottles when u aren't home and dad needs 2 feed her. Keep it up its well worth it.

Is it possible to be addicted to soda?

you can be mentally and physically addicted to soda. if you drink soda daily then your body will start craving the caffeine. try limiting how much sodas you drink a day or if you drink one every day limit how many you drink a week. you could try replacing soda with any other drinks you like that don't have caffeine in it. i used to be addicted to dr. pepper. i would HAVE to have at least one every day if not two. when i drink soda it calms me down also and when i don't have a soda i would feel irritable and i would get headaches. but i replaced dr. pepper with capri suns and flavored water and also tea (i know it has caffeine in it). the tea would still give me the little bit of caffeine i "needed" but, drinking that with juice, i soon was able to not have to drink tea every day either.

Worried my wife may be pregnant on IUD?

My wife has been on the Mirena Iud for a year now. She got if after she had our son. She also exclusively breast feeds, and he is on solids as well so it is not as much breast feeding. Lately she has been having a lot of discharge. Very watery. More than usual. She has no itching, no smells, and sex is normal, so we are not sure what this could be caused by. The last two days she said she woke up feeling nauseated. We had sex last night and everything was fine. She washed up after words and in the middle of the night woke up because she had so much discharge. We figure it was from me, but after using the bathroom, she noticed a tiny streak of blood in her discharge. This morning she woke up, and had more discharge streaked with pink blood. Does this sound like pregnancy? She had something similar when she found out she was pregnant with our first. We are taking a test today, but she wants to prepare her self. Should i swap to bottle feeding?

The most important time to breast feed is the first few days of their life. Well done for even trying and well done for doing it this long when there are alternative ways. Well breast milk is best for giving babies antibodies that will protect them against illness but yes bottlefeeding is alot easier. It can allow u to get a bit of sleep and let someone else feed the baby for a change! It's easy to have mixes made up in advance and take feeds with u when u go out and all u have to do is heat up the formula (unless ur baby likes it room temperature!) and feed them! Baby will have to cry for a few mins while heating it up (unless u spot their hunger in advance) and they are prone to more wind with bottles (so burp them frequently during a feed). I bottle feed and I find it alot better as I'm happier, so baby is happier and she's bulked out alot. What u should do is have the best of both worlds and express ur milk into bottles!!! And then gradually in time switch to formula.

Why is it your job to be everyone's cheerleader? Your fat friend obviously is using your compassion against you. Stop allowing her and everyone else to manipulate you and your feelings. She ate her way up to being fat, it's her responsibility to lose the weight, not yours. When she loses 25 pounds THEN compliment her. But YOU ARE NOT THE WORLD'S NURSEMAID! It's as simple as that.

My daughter eats all the solids I give her. Do I keep giving her more until she stops eating?

I've been weaning my daughter for about 3 weeks. She is almost 6 months old. She is in the 91st percentile despite being exclusively breastfed (apart from the solids, now) and eats everything I give her. In the last couple of days I've brought in an evening 'meal' (previously I just did breakfast and lunchtime solids) and she eats that too. I'm still on 7 milk feeds per day and she has been waking up in the night lately whereas she slept through the night from about 7 1/2 weeks until she was about 4 1/2 months old. I have been defrosting 2 or 3 'cubes' of food from my icecube trays for her. Should I defrost more and see when she stops eating? I seem to remember a Health Visitor saying that a couple of years ago with my son but it didn't really apply to him because he wasn't as hungry as my wee girl seems to be! Planning ahead... What to do when I go for University?

It's totally possible to keep a horse and go to college. I'm almost done and have managed to have 1-2 horses the entire 4 years. Definitely not easy as have to work to have money for the horses and find time to ride, go to class, study etc. But I do it and manage to get mostly A's too! I did say goodbye to a social life :) but for me totally worth it as I'm not a party girl anyway. I have learned to be very smart with money to make it all work. How to increase my breastmilk supply?

My baby was breastfed for the first 2 weeks of life, but I had a very difficult birth and had a hard time feeding her, so I bought a hospital grade Medela pump, and began to exclusively pump from there. My baby is now 4 months old and I'm starting to lose my milk supply! I used to pump a good 8 oz every 4 hours, now i'm pumping every single hour and a half for about 20 minutes (pumping both at a time) and when it comes time for her to eat, i'm always almost always half ounce short (she eats 4oz), or sometimes worse. I had to give her 2 oz of formula a few days ago because I simply was not making the milk. I was told by a nurse to try breastfeeding, so I have been trying for about a week, but my baby is just not having any of it. She cries every time. So I bought a nipple shield hoping it would be a bit more like the bottle, and she cries less with that, but still isn't interested. I've also been using bottles that are more naturally shaped in hopes that this would help her breastfeed again. I don't know what to do! I've been eating a lot and drinking SO much I feel like i'm going to explode. What can I do to get my milk supply back up? And why is it so low now? I know of a pill that has a possible side effect of increased milk supply, anyone had any luck with that? Anything herbal? Thank you!!!

Breastfeeding and weight loss?

I am 4 weeks postpartum and successfully and exclusively breastfeeding. Trouble is I am hungry all the time and finding it difficult to loose any weight. I walk 2 to 3 miles a day and recently started a short light jog. But the weight will not come off. I have lost only 10 pounds since I was pregnant! I have a 10k coming up soon and was curious which I should focus more on now. I've been jogging a fair bit the past few months, but there is room for improvement. Is there any way to get a little extra cash from recycling cans and bottles?

There always seems to be one week out of the month where I'm scrounging every crack and corner looking for spare change to pay for gas, and I'm thinking of alternative solutions to getting a little extra money (barring a job, I've got that handled already). I've been collecting water bottles for the past few months, as I intend on buying a Brita water filter and using that to refill all the bottles to make it so we no longer need to buy packs of water bottles, but it occured to me that refilling all those bottles may impact the water bill negatively. Then the thought of recycling came up. I have about 113 bottles stored up, and I've heard you can recycle bottles for 5 cents...coming to $5.65, which I don't think is too bad. I went over what groceries we tend to get, and we usually get 2 24 packs of pop and 2 35 packs of bottled water every two weeks, and if I held onto every can or bottle from that, it would leave me with 118 bottles/cans every month. I'm thinking about buying another trash can to use exclusively for this idea, but would it be a good investment? And could I also include pop bottles and 2 liters when I finally recycle it all?

My newborn has acid reflux. What can I do to help him?

My baby is 3 weeks old and has been spitting up and vomiting a lot. His doctor says he has acid reflux and gave me a prescription for him. I hate the idea of giving him a prescription med this young. He also recommended Enfamil AR formula, but I would like to exclusively breastfeed only. I have given him the formula for a feeding or two and it seems to help a little. Should I choose a college based on education alone or places suitable for my health?

I'm going to be a Junior in high school this coming fall and my goal by the end of this summer is to have a list of my top ten college choices so I'd know what their requirements and such are so I know what I need to do. I have bunch of colleges in mind and I am a bit overwhelmed, but I think I'm doing pretty well on my research so far. I also have eczema (a very common skin condition) which gets worse in the summer and in warm temperatures. I really do prefer colder climates because of this. I was wondering if I should limit my choices to areas which have suitable climates for my physical health? Or should I just focus on educations basis only? I really don't have a major in mind but I have narrowed it down to 5: English (creative writing), History/library sciences, PR, Marketing, International Public Relations.

Sounds colicky. So get some Little Tummys Gripe water or Colic Calm. This should help him sleep better. Also hold off on the feedings just a little, maybe he isn't eating enough to really feel him up so he doesn't rest very good. Buy a swaddler blanket and wrap him in that. Whenever you lay him down, even though it is not suggested, lay him on his side, with a rolled up towel or blanket behind him. This will make him feel as if someone is there. When you put the towel behind him make sure you put down near his underarms. That way if he rolls over by any chance it will not be in his face. We had to use the gripe water on my son and we had to lay him on his side to get him to sleep. Hope these help you. Good luck.

Are ADD meds really that bad for you?

I think I have ADD but my parents wont get me meds because it's bad for you. I took one of my friend's pills one time and I could focus way more and it felt like my head was clear and I had no anxiety. I also believe I have social anxiety and because of that I always tend to think too much, so maby that is why I can't seem to listen or concentrate. Are social anxiety meds just as bad for you as ADD meds? My parents say it's all bad for you but my outlook on the situation is everybody is going to die sooner or later so why should I live my life in misery (without pills) just so I can have a prolonged life of misery?

How do I get my stressed-out, antisocial old cat used to my new, very rambunctious kitten?

About 2 months ago my mom got a new, male kitten. She kept him in her room for a few weeks, and for about a week would very briefly expose him to the old cat, a 3 or so year old female who tends to be hostile to anyone new, human or animal (she growls and hisses at the sight, sound, or even smell of a stray cat outside, and reacts similarly to any person she has not known for several months, especially if they're ever loud). The cat would hiss and growl at the kitten, and bat at her paws under the door (our house is small and there's no way to put more than 1 door between them, every room shares a door with the living room). Last month mom released the kitten from her room full-time, despite my warnings that it was too much too fast and would only lead to trouble, and it's been constant stress for the old cat the whole time. The kitten was initially afraid of the cat, who would constantly hiss and growl, and when the kitten would try to go near her to smell her the cat would bat at her. But soon the kitten stopped putting up with it, and would bat back. He began to enter the play-fighting phase and in addition to constantly pretend-attacking my mom, sister, and me, he would ALSO do it to the old cat, chasing her around the house ceaselessly. The cat began to get VERY stressed out, even becoming hoarse from all the growling and angry meowing. Even when the kitten wasn't doing anything at all, she would start to growl and stare whenever she saw the kitten. The kitten started eating the cat's food and water, so mom put them up on the kitchen table (don't worry, we NEVER actually use it for anything other than laying out laundry) so the kitten couldn't reach. This lead to the cat staying almost exclusively on the table and in my sister's room, her favorite place. The kitten started going in there, too, though, but after about a week of the food being moved the cats seemed to get along a tiny bit better. The cat would hiss less, but the same stuff still went on. Then last week I changed the old cat's cat box, and this made the kitten curious. He kept going in it, and I'm not sure if he used it or not but it seems like he did. The cat, always trying to avoid the kitten at all costs, would not go near her litter box and when we woke up the next morning, she had pooped all over the table and on one my shirts and some of my sister's clothes. According to my mom, though I've seen no evidence of this, the cat's fur started falling out, and fearing for the cat's health, she made a post on facebook offering the kitten for adoption to any of her friends who wanted it. I really like the kitten, more than the old cat, because where the old cat is antisocial and rarely wants to cuddle or let us pet her or do anything other than lay on my sister's bed while she's away, the kitten is very affectionate and fun, and is significantly more friendly to everyone, even the old cat, who he still tries to be nice too when he isn't chasing her around. We couldn't make the kitten stop chasing, though, so in an effort to prevent mom from getting rid of him, I dumped a ton of stuff from my drawers in my room to hide my multiple game consoles and their cords (the old cat is a horrible cord-chewer and I'm not taking chances, it ruined my gamecube and ps2 cords), cleaned my room, and moved the kitten's litter box and food/water there. My plan is to keep the kitten in my room at the very least long enough to let the cat calm down, and hopefully for the kitten's play-fighting phase to end. The kitten doesn't mind staying there when I'm there, but when I leave my room he cries, and the old cat will come and hiss at the door. I can't keep the old cat from going near my door, it's in a hallway connected to the living room and it's between there and my sister's room, and I don't know what to do. I desperately want to keep the kitten, I'm home by myself much of the time because I'm still searching for a job so I can move out (and I plan to take the kitten with me), and the kitten is the only real company I have because the old cat never wants to be around anyone more than a few minutes at a time. I want to reintroduce the cats later much more slowly and gradually, but I'm worried mom has ruined any chance of them getting along with her rushed introduction. The usual methods of introducing cats and kittens just don't seem to work, my old cat is just too hostile. But there's no way my mom will consider getting rid of her in favor of the kitten, and I can't keep the poor kitten locked in my room. And I'm worried what will happen to the kitten if we get rid of him. I just don't know what to do, I'm not going to give up the kitten without a fight. Are things already ruined beyond repair? And if not, what do I do?

Very forgetful off antidepressants?

Ever since I stopped antidepressants a few months ago, I have been getting more and more forgetful about things. I forget where I'm going when I'm driving, I forget if I have money and how much, I forget to eat, and I work at a stable part time, and yesterday I forgot to turn off the hose and made a small Nile river in the barn area, I forget to turn off lights, close gates, etc which gets me in trouble too. I forget to FOCUS. I drift off into lala land ALL the time, and forget what I'm doing, why I went into a room, etc. It's so bad that when I am switching radio stations, I switch usually only once before I go into lala land and then wonder why I'm annoyed at what I'm listening to. This daydreaming this really frustrating and the forgetfulness is getting to the point where people are getting annoyed with me it feels like. I mean, I was on antidepressants for ten years. Is this some sort of brain damage caused by them? Do I have ADD and not realize it? Did the antidepressants cover that up? I didn't have ADD as a teenager. Anyways, I am also dealing with a lot of things like learning who I am off of the medicine. I was in therapy for 6 years while on the med learning to overcome social anxiety and now that I'm off the medicine I feel like I have to relearn all my therapy because things are new again. I have been trying to ward off depression by taking 5htp and st. johns wort. It works some. I have also been using my therapy skills. I cry sometimes at night, though not every night. My anxiety is worse in situations I would have remained calm in if I was on medicine. Like, this morning when I was at my boyfriend's house getting ready for work and realized I forgot my pants. I live 45 mins away so I got realllyyy upset. I got mad at my bf (I don't know why) and myself and stopped talking. He said it would be best if I just laughed the situation off, called work and told them I would be late, and went home to get pants. But I just shut down and when he walked me out to the car, I was still acting mad and I apologized, bust into tears and cried all the way home, where I called work, told them I was sick and can't come in. I mean Jeez, where IS my head? Then I slept until 3 pm bc I'm so emotionally exhausted and I couldn't think anymore. I am not getting back on antidepressants unless God holds a sign in front of me that clearly says: FAIL. I want to try to live off of medicine bc it made me someone I was not, I didn't care about anything, and had all sorts of crappy side effects even on a low dose. Someone help me with my questions, please? I don't have money to go to my therapist and I miss her. I've been very tearful lately, which I read sometimes happens when you are learning to live off antidepressants. I feel like everything is building up and I need to talk, but I can't. I just know the next time I actually can afford to go to therapy, I won't know how to consolidate everything into only an hour, and I'll probably just cry and won't even know where to start. Can my toddler have Celiac Disease?? please help!?

My son is 18 months and is underweight. His weight gain slowed down around 9 months and I have been EBF since birth and still am BF. Not exclusively of course. But he only passes bowels every other day, sometimes everyday though, but onle once. He also seems to struggle everytime he goes like it's hurting him =( but sometimed, his bowels aren't even hard. He is an ok eater, I think he just takes after me in this area. I am 22 yrs old, 5'2 and weigh 100 lbs. But a few weeks ago he was throwing up for a few days and we thought it was a virus, it passed. But now he threw up twice today, but it may have been motion sickness and drinking too much water?? Idk, I just want to know what people with toddlers who have celiac think...he also has A LOT of hair, 12 teeth and is walking and running and a very happy child. Very smart as well. A couple years ago, a guy I worked with was broken up from his gf and my relationship was on the rocks. We ended up hooking up a couple times and were really good friends. Okay, what is this bug that i found?

How to get used to running?

I have been dancing for a few years, and recently I have decided that I want to play field hockey in the fall. I want to start running over the summer so I won't be so far behind during the season. My father is having bowl problems?

My dad lately has been having problems with his bowls. He hasn't really had diarrhea, but he's been having loose stools that are yellowish, a bit mucous-ey, and some white specks in it. He went to the doctor to ask about it. The doctor says that it isn't a viral/disease sort of thing... but he doesn't really know what it is. He also hasn't had any change in diet.Please help me! Should I take psychology A level?

U have no obligation of taking up psychology as an A level subject even if you're thinking of pursuing it later on. Although I never took the scienc-y subjects I personally think that taking those instead of Psychology will make u sharp in this area since its more difficult than Psychology. As a result u will find Psychology a piece of cake when u take it later on on and PSychology also contains biology and by than you will have no problem acing this subject. I personally did well in the non bio area of psychology but always struggled in the areas that required recalling the parts of the brain etc. So yea good luck.

How can I prevent a pregnancy if...?

The morning after pill is very effective. I highly doubt you'll be expecting. I've taken it 3 times and never got pregnant when I had taken it. I wouldn't try any herbal remedies, most of them are fakes and will just make you sick. You took the morning after pill 4 hours after sex and the sooner you took it the more effective it is (that's sooner then I ever took it). Try not to stress because stress can delay your period. My daughter is due very soon, and I am going to breastfeed her ( exclusively.) I've heard it said before that you should NEVER leave your nursing infant. I was wondering ( because I am new to this and want to do the right thing for her ) 4 weeks after she is due to be born, I am scheduled to have important dental work. The office is 3 minutes from my house, and the dental work should take about 2 hours or so. I was thinking about having my mom & dad watch the baby at my house while I go have the dental work done. If you weren't trying to breed them then I would say that your stocking arrangements are fine. If any of them breed then your tank will be overstocked. If you put more fish in with the danios then your 10 gallon would be overstocked. I would get a breeder tank to breed the swordtails in because your going to need a tank to grow the fry out in anyway. If you keep them in your regular tank they could get eaten, sucked into the filter, and it will be hard to feed them fry food.

Why is my 12 week son waking up in the middle of the night to eat when he stopped doing this at 8 weeks?

My son has been sleeping through the night since 8 weeks old. He would get up at 4:45am then he started sleeping longer and getting up at 5:30am and then he started sleeping until 6:30am. But now at 12 weeks, he has been getting up at 3:30am for a bottle. Why did he stop sleeping through the night. Also he is drinking breast milk not formula as I exclusively pump. He has acid reflux so he takes acid 3 times a day and has cereal in his bottle. He goes to bed full so I don't know why he is so hungry that he stopped sleeping through the night. Any suggestions?

It's summer and I'm in university calculus 3 right now and there's this really smart high school sophomore next to me who I've become friends. This girl doesn't seem to take the class too seriously and always seems to be happy. She's easily acing the class while I'm just struggling to pass--even if it's a subject I enjoy. Also, she works amazingly fast through hw problems just recently assigned while the professor is lecturing and always seems to correct his errors. When I do my hw, I get stuck often and have to take time to think over my mistakes, but she breezed through each problem during class.... When I study with her and her friends they never seem focused, but always chat and get off task. If I ask her a question, she seems to know the answer every time. And although she claims to not be sure, it is always correct when I look it up later. I'm really jealous of her aptitude right now... especially since I'm studying so much yet always score lower than her every time. It gets me wondering if people are just born smart.
