Why do some people have a problem with breastfeeding?

I could maybe understand if your daughter was 2 (and even then it's nobody's business if you're still nursing her) but 6 months?! She's still an infant whose many source of nourishment is milk! Have you told them that it is medically recommended to breastfeed for up to a year or more? And have you told your friend who thinks it's vile to stop viewing breasts as sexual objects & see them for what they really are, vessels for feeding children? Your baby has no idea what breasts are, she just knows that's where food comes from. Your family & friends sound very uneducated. Next time they say something, tell them if they have so much to say about raising a baby, they should have their own & let you parent your own child.
