Palms are badly scraped. Cover with bandaid or better to expose to air?

Scraped my palms. Outer layer of skin has left inner pink layer and it is puss-ey and liquidy. Covered with band aid but seems to make the wound moist. Is it better to just leave it exposed to air to let it dry out and hopefully scab??
