Can anyone guess this song for me?

I'm trying to find this song that I heard on the radio that I thought was pretty good. It a rock song. It's acoustic guitar in the verses, and in the chorus it's normal hard rock electric guitar and the guys singing something like "ni-ey-ey-ey, yeaaahh". and the guys voice sounds similar to billy corgan from the smashing pumpkins billy corgan, not exactly like him but in the simular style he sings. and it's not like a happy, fun sounding song, it's more serious sounding. It's by a very popular band.
